I’m really happy with the ZELUS 20 lb weighted vest! Wearing it during walks and workouts adds an extra challenge that helps boost calorie burn and muscle engagement without needing extra equipment. It’s comfortable to wear, fits well, and the adjustable straps keep it secure during movement.
It does have a slight smell out of the box, but it’s nothing too bad and fades quickly with some airing out. The reflective stripe is a nice safety feature for early morning or evening walks too.
I’ve noticed better endurance and a more intense workout just by adding this vest to my routine. If you want to take your walking or fitness routine up a notch, this vest is a great investment!

I purchased the 6 lbs because I am starting out. I am impressed with the overall Zelus build and comfort, as well that it comes in multiple weight options so you can start lighter and progress over time.
It is comfortable and felt secure in its fit. The vest hugs my body well without shifting around, even during cardio workouts. The adjustable straps make it easy to adjust. And it has even weight distribution – front and back. The stitching and fabric feel strong. No leaking weight packets or frayed seams. It’s solid quality, comfortable fit, and am pleased with it.

Got the 20 pound vest. Probably should have started lower but I recently lost 20-25 pounds so thought I'd add it back for walking/hiking. I am 5'2 and 145 (now). The vest does have a fairly strong chemical odor but that seems to be going away after about a week. 20 pounds is a lot heavier than I anticipated and my joints immediately felt the weight suddenly being added back on!. The vest is pretty comfortable and the weight distribution is good. I use this on my 1-2 mile dog walks and for that it is very comfortable. I have tried it on a longer (6 mile) walk with a few hills and I do experience some shoulder/upper back discomfort, which I hope will go away once my body adjusts. I couldn't imagine running in it but I am sure some brave souls do so!

For reference, I’m female that 5’6 and 180 lbs. I went with the 12lb vest and I’m glad I didn’t go lighter. When you first pick it up it feels heavy but when you wear it the weight is evenly distributed, it’s comfortable, and fits well!
It comes with a velcro phone case but I haven’t not used it yet for a phone because I usually have pockets on my leggings. However, I haven’t used it for dog disposable bags and it works great! I’ve used it for over a month and the quality seems very good so far!

It fits nicely over my shoulders and there is no under arm rubbing or chafing. It is comfortable to wear. The cons. It has a smell. I am hoping the more I use it and air it out, the less it will smell. Very chemically. And it can't be washed. The chest straps are kind of awkward. I haven't quit managed to find the perfect tightness that doesn't cause some rubbing. That said, I like the vest, like the weight distribution and am happy with the purchase.

I ran into this one, which has been made popular since a certain brand of home exercise equipment has added a few treadmill workouts with weighted vests. I was worried I wouldn't like that you can't adjust the weight, but, so far, I really like it! I got the 15 lb one and it seems just right. I often work out in the AM or mid-day and am on a sports team in the evening. It's about a mile walk to exercise class, so, I wear this on the walk too and from, and sometimes do a 30 min stair run/walk after working out, or, just walk/jog back. This is perfect because I'm not worn out, but, you do definitely know you're putting in more effort. You can jog easily or walk, or, really do whatever you want. Other reviewers say they keep this on while doing household chores, for example. It does have a smell, but, I kept it outside for a few days on my balcony after I was done exercising and now it's fine. The second day I had it, I left it overnight in my car and it didn't make my car smell or anything like that. It is just the normal smell that comes with Neoprene. I think it's a good value for this kind of product. I bought this instead of another similar one because it came with a bag for your phone, etc., but, I admit I haven't used the bag. I use my normal crossbody bag over the weighted vest, so that the crossbody bag strap isn't trapped. It's a little awkward, but, it works for the short distances I've used it so far.

8 lb is the size I wanted to start with but it’s smaller/tighter in the arms than the 12 lb vest so I returned the 8lb and got the 12lb because even though I’m a small person it just felt more constricting and with a sweatshirt would definitely restrict arm movement in the 8lb vest. There is a strong smell but based on the reviews after some time and fresh air it subsides. The phone case is nice, comfortable vest! Wish there was a 10lb option! Excited to get started in my weighted vest era 🙂

I wanted a weighted vest to help me keep calm and focus. The market for adult vests is quite niche. I ordered the 4lb vest because I wanted to keep the impact on my shoulders less. It feels like wearing a backpack with a few books in it.
I am a smaller person so the front clip was a good fit, but for larger chest sizes the vest strap my not fit. The extra phone strap thing is cool. The zippers clink together and make noise, so I covered on in tape.
Would not recommend using while jumping.

I am 119 pounds and got the 12 pound weighted vest. I find it gives a little added something when I am walking, but it is not heavy enough to hurt my back or shoulders or anything. Like others have mentioned the smell of this is absolutely terrible. I have been leaving it out on the deck in the sun to try and help get rid of the neoprene smell. I find also that I sweat like crazy while wearing this, although I am not a sweater just the material of this one. I am wearing it when I’m walking I sweat a lot. I guess that adds to the workout though. Definitely would recommend if you’re looking to add a little bit more weight to your walk and don’t want to use ankle or wrist weights. I find that it is really comfortable and does not shave at all and like the fact that it has the additional pouch for your phone.

The weighted vest itself is awesome. It does have a strong odor when you first get it, but I am sure it'll air out (just like any memory foam pillow/mattress).
It's very comfortable and sits at the upper portion of the torso. Pretty straightforward to put on, secure, and adjust.
My ONLY gripe is the included phone carrier. Pictures make it looks much larger than it is, as it does not fit my Galaxy 24 Ultra (doubt it'd fit any Pro Max iphone). If you have a smaller phone it'll prob be no issue, but I specifically chose this one to use the phone pouch, but it's too small unfortunately. I'll still use it and can probably still use the pouch for my phone, but I wouldn't be able to zip it up.
Regardless, if you're just looking for the vest, it's comfortable and sure beats having the adjustable ones with bulky metal plates that make it feel extra stiff.

At first, it felt heavy and a little tricky to walk with on my walk pad, but I realized there’s a certain way to adjust it properly on your shoulders. Once I got the fit right, it became comfortable and easier to wear.
It’s excellent for walking and even while doing task around the house. I haven’t tried it with strength training yet, but I can already tell it adds a good amount of resistance. The vest is adjustable, fits well, and I’ve noticed no bad smells. It does get sweaty, but that hasn’t been a problem, and it hasn’t stained my clothes.
The only minor issue is that it can be a little tricky to adjust at times, but other than that, it’s a very solid vest that works well for me. I’m giving it five stars because it meets my needs and has only a small learning curve.

This is only 5% of my body weight, but I definitely feel it's effects. Hopefully it's helping me maintain bone strength which is why I purchased it as a post menopausal woman. Mary Claire Haver, the menopause specialist, recommends a weighted vest upwards to 10% of one's body weight for keeping bones strong after we lose estrogen. I'm not sure I could handle going up to a 12 pound weighted vest. This is well made and doesn't hinder my work as a stock person in a retail store. It isn't cumbersome and the clip mechanism is easy to use. I believe it's effective for us post menopausal ladies trying to hold onto our health!

I wanted a weighted vest to help me keep calm and focus. The market for adult vests is quite niche. I ordered the 4lb vest because I wanted to keep the impact on my shoulders less. It feels like wearing a backpack with a few books in it.
I am a smaller person so the front clip was a good fit, but for larger chest sizes the vest strap my not fit. The extra phone strap thing is cool. The zippers clink together and make noise, so I covered on in tape.
Would not recommend using while jumping.

So far so good. I’ve only used it twice so far when walking but I’m currently very pleased with it with it. It’s been comfortable. I was nervous about odor based on some of the other reviews. It had a slight smell when I first took it out of the box but nothing since.
I didn’t realize it came with a “pocket “ you could Velcro on. It fits my iPhone no problem. I’m sure I could also fit my key and some tissues in there if I need to.
I purchased the 12lb vest. Less than 10% of my body weight. I am glad I didn’t go heavier and my goal is for 12 to be 10% in a few months!
