5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite
I always saw these on Amazon when I was looking for plant-based alternatives I found some other brands I liked and they were the ones I would always order. I decided to try these because it seemed like you got more for your money than the ones I was buying and you do. I cooked it Iike I usually do simmered it in some vega chicken broth it cooked fast and the texture and taste are unbelievably good. I made some creamy spinach sauce we ate over noodles and some fantastic chicken salad this will be one of my staples for my dishes. The shipping was fast and the packing was good not a lot of broken or crushed pieces.

1.0 out of 5 stars Ridiculous price
My wife, a vegan, bought these Soy Curls without verifying the price and the quantity. Because they’re not eligible for return, we’re stuck with 1 lb. of soy formed into curls for almost $23. I don’t care how good they are, they’re nothing but soy. $23 for one pound, really? Bad on us for not checking the price, but seller should be embarrassed. That’s more than a pound of nice quality scallops and almost as much as Chilean Sea Bass. If you’re willing to pay $23 for one pound of soy beans in 2024, go for it!

4.0 out of 5 stars It was okay
I 1st made these curls in a broccoli stir fry type dish with mushrooms, onions, and a teriyaki sauce. It was really good.
My family (who are meat lovers) loved it and thought it was chicken although they did ask about the type of chicken it was because you can tell something is a little different texture wise. However, the flavors of the other ingredients covered up any taste differences.
I am not a big fan of these. Without the veggies packed on my plate, I would not have eaten the curls, even with them sauced up. The texture was weird for me and something about the taste of them was off putting.
My family didn’t seem to taste it at all. And nothing about the texture threw them off. I will say that I am not a huge chicken person. And some real chicken dishes throw me off based on texture of meat and how it’s prepared.
I tried the curls in a different pasta and cheese type dish. It was disgusting to me. Again, my family was good with it.
Now I’m just turned off by them altogether.
I made the last bit of the curls in the teriyaki dish for my family to prevent throwing them away and food waste. But I won’t buy again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cheaper than tofu!
I’ve been using these off and on for years. I prefer extra firm tofu, but the price of tofu has become inflated (currently at $4.99 for a block of extra firm, which is far too expensive for how much of it I eat). I use these soy curls in my miso soup, which I eat about two times a day (South River Miso). They really expand, which keeps the cost low. We used to use these in the vegan cafe where I worked. They were an ingredient in a favorite soup. That is where I learned about them. I definitely recommend them! I just hope their price doesn’t become inflated like tofu.

I buy these all the time. Texture is good and it takes on whatever flavors you want.

1.0 out of 5 stars not good. bad texture and aftertaste
I prepared them as instructed. the texture was bad as it slimy and tough at the same time. The curls them selves does not immediately interfere with the flavor of the dish I used them in but the aftertaste comes after chewing for a second and overwhelms everything. Very bad product as there are many vegan chicken alternatives available now.

This product has been the discovery of the year! My vegan life just got better. There are so many dishes I can add these to, for extra protein; soups, salads, wraps, stews…. Yay, thank you.
