Let me start by saying—this mica powder set is like opening a box of pure happiness. 72 vibrant colors, each in its own cute little bottle, practically begging me to go full mad scientist with my resin projects. It’s like someone took a unicorn, dipped it in glitter, and bottled the results.
The colors? Gorgeous. Bold. Endless possibilities. I’ve used them in epoxy resin pours, lip gloss, soap making, and even jazzed up some bath bombs that made me feel like I was bathing in cosmic dust. Seriously, the color payoff is excellent—a little goes a long way, and the variety is chef’s kiss.
BUT…
When it comes to epoxy resin, it leaves this slight microscopic film on the surface. It’s not a deal-breaker—it’s more like a “huh, well that’s mildly annoying” moment. I had to hit a few of my pieces with an extra clear coat or a quick sanding to get the glass-smooth finish I was after. It’s like the powder doesn’t always want to fully settle—it’s got commitment issues.
So, 4 stars because while I LOVE the color range and versatility, that little film means extra work if you’re chasing that perfect, crystal-clear epoxy look.
Bottom line?
Would I buy it again? Absolutely.
Would I warn my fellow resin crafters to keep a clear coat handy? Also yes.
Color me impressed—with just a tiny splash of "could be better."

These jars are well-filled, have a good variety of colors, and the jar size is great. The colors mix easily into the media and look great. The powder is fine and each jar has a foil seal for safety during shipping. These are so fun, I love the colors included, I’m so happy with them. I use these for resins, including traditional epoxy and UV, and for silicone squishies. I’ve not had a bad effect so far. Wonderful.

Beautiful colors
Meet the expectations
Smalltongue 36 Colors Mica Powder
These pigments are super cool and beautiful! The colored ones are vibrant, sparkly, and have an amazing shimmer — they reflect the light beautifully. There are also white pigments with different color shifts, which is a nice touch. I didn’t like the plain white ones though — they look more gray and give a muddy tone when mixed.
The jars are generously sized and the amount you need per project is very small, so they’ll definitely last a long time. I use them with epoxy resin, and they work great!
